Recipes

 Make Your Own Applesauce Oobleck

What is Oobleck? Good question! It is a slimy mixture of cornstarch and water that can be used for sensory play! Eating oobleck is not recommended. :)

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of applesauce

  • 2 cups of cornstarch

  • A bowl and a spoon

  • Cookie tray or pie plate

  • cinnamon spice (optional)

  • 1/2 cup water (you may not need it all)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Add cornstarch to the bowl.

  2. Add the applesauce and get ready to mix. Slowly add water. If you add too much water add more cornstarch and vice versa.

  3. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon. Mix. If you can hold the mixture in a ball and it becomes liquid when you put it back in the bowl, you have the right consistency.
