Sensory Play with Paint
Worrying about your child eating craft materials is a common occurrence. Children love to try new things and explore using their taste buds. With this edible paint, you can encourage them to be creative without being concerned that they may eat it!
Ingredients
Yogurt
Food colouring
Sprinkles
Materials
Several bowls (to mix colours in)
Spoons
Cardboard or paper to paint on! (Be creative with the sizing!)
First, separate your yogurt into several different bowls. Use as little or as much yogurt as you want. Then add food colouring to each of the bowls, and experiment with mixing colours! We encourage parents and family members to get involved in the next part especially.
Lay out your cardboard or paper. Use your hands, feet, a paint brush, napkins, cups, or whatever you want, and see what kinds of things you can make! Get messy, and roll around in it! Then add sprinkles or your favorite topping and taste your creation!
We would love to see your creations! Share your pictures with us on our Facebook page!
