WILD CHILD: Week 1 of Summer Day Camp Complete

Every day at Wild Child Day Camp, campers are encouraged to participate in risky play and to interact with nature. For some, this kind of play comes easy. For others, it is a new and exciting experience.

These pictures accurately depict the first week of the 2019 camp session! Although hesitant at first, the campers ages 4-6 flourished playing in the trees and swinging from branches. The expression on this camper's face while dangling from the trees shows hesitation and excitement simultaneously!

Although climbing trees can be difficult and these skills take time to develop, the Wild Child campers continue to demonstrate resilience and confidence. While exploring in nature, children are very able and competent when given the chance to thrive!
