DIY Bingo Dabbers
Today we’re going to make our own bingo dabbers using materials that you may already have laying around the house.
What you’ll need:
plastic mesh bag (from onions, oranges, etc.) or bubble wrap
cotton balls, tissues, fabric strips, newspaper
string or elastic bands
containers, tray or plates for paint
paint
paper
Scrunch some newspaper into a ball (or any of the above alternatives). Wrap it in tissues. Cut your mesh bags or bubble wrap into squares and encase it around your tissue balls. Then wrap it with string or elastic bands to secure the ends. Fill your trays or containers with paint and your children start dabbing!
You can incorporate literacy and numerous into this activity by counting, identifying colours, mixing colouring, and connecting them to things in your environment.
