WILD CHILD Wintermission: Make Snow Art!
Today's Wintermission is to make snow art.
Recently a friend introduced me to snow art: giant pictures made in snow using your feet. Today's challenge is to head outside into the fresh snow and make your own snow art.
Simply pick a shape, pattern, or picture. Then find a fresh patch of snow and let your inner artist create as you use your feet to stomp out the image in the snow. You creations can be as simple or complex, big or small as you choose.
For some inspiration watch this short clip of someone making a spiders web or see this post or this one from Parks Canada about ‘snow tagging’.
For more information on this fun emerging art form see this news report.
If you try this idea or any of our other wintermission challenges , please share your experience with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram! Tag us and include the hashtag #wintermission. Inspire others to head outside and find joy in the winter.
