It's getting colder out and looking more like winter every day.  Don't let this deter your family from spending time outdoors.

Winter has returned, and with it, the need to layer.

For today's mission, try to find leaves of  different shapes or colors or sizes. 

Today’s Wintermission challenge is to look for shapes in the clouds.

Whether you are 2 or 62, there is something exciting about hiding behind a tree or a bush,  searching for a friend, and laughing together when you are found. 

Find a low-lying area for a truly drenching stomp, or go for a walk and see how many puddles you can find!

The beauty of early darkness in winter is the opportunity to enjoy the stars and moon on any clear evening.

The warmer winter weather and leafless trees create the perfect opportunity to spot these singing creatures wherever you are. 

Today's wintermission challenge is to take advantage of the warm temperatures and early darkness to step outside and enjoy the way fog changes the landscape.

Today, as the temperature rises and the snow turns sticky, is the perfect day to turn trees into works of art. 

Tracks can tell us the story of what happened in a place when no one was looking.

 Today's sunny and snowy wintermission challenge is to make a snow angel.
